Everything people ask before (and after) connecting their Instagram account — how matching works, what’s allowed, what we store, and what it costs.
ReplyIG watches the comments on Instagram posts you choose and automatically DMs each commenter a message you wrote — usually a link people keep asking for. It can also leave a public reply like “Check your DMs!” so the comment thread never looks ignored.
Business and Creator accounts. Personal accounts can’t use Instagram’s messaging API — switching to a Creator account is free and takes about a minute in the Instagram app under Settings → Account type.
Under a minute. You sign in with Instagram, pick a post, add trigger keywords, and write the DM once. From then on every matching comment gets your message automatically, 24/7.
No. ReplyIG uses Instagram’s official OAuth login — you approve access on instagram.com and your password never touches ReplyIG. There’s nothing to install; it runs entirely in the cloud.
Yes. ReplyIG uses the official Instagram API from Meta, with your own access token, and only replies to comments on posts you explicitly choose. It never posts, follows, or likes on your behalf.
A comment matches when it contains any of your keywords, anywhere, in any casing — “preset”, “PRESETS please” and “that preset!” all match “preset”. Add 2–4 variations per automation, comma-separated. You can also reply to every comment on a post.
Instagram notifies ReplyIG the moment a comment is posted, and the DM goes out immediately after the keyword check — the median is about 1.2 seconds from comment to delivered message.
Yes — one automation per post, each with its own keywords and message. The Free plan includes 1 active automation, Starter includes 10, and Pro is unlimited.
The DM is your words, sent from your account — there’s no ReplyIG branding in the message. Most creators write it the way they’d type it themselves.
No. ReplyIG stores your automation templates and a 30-day activity log of comment events it processed. Your inbox and conversations are never read or stored.
Your Instagram username and account ID, the access token Instagram issues (used only to send your replies), your automations, and a 30-day log of processed comment events. Activity log entries are deleted automatically after 30 days.
Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. Automations stop immediately and your data is removed on the schedule described on our data deletion page. You can also email support to request deletion.
The full pipeline — one active automation, unlimited keyword variations, public replies, activity feed and analytics. No card required. Upgrade only when you want more posts automated at once.
Subscriptions are billed through Stripe, monthly or yearly (yearly saves 20%). You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from the Billing page — cancelling keeps your paid limits until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
ReplyIG doesn’t cap DMs on any plan — plans differ only in how many automations can be active at once. Instagram applies its own platform-level messaging limits, which normal comment-reply volume stays well within.
